Position Objective Reporting to the Manager, Annual Giving & Donor Engagement, the Annual Fund Officer is responsible for planning and executing annual giving initiatives that inspire broad-based philanthropic support for the Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) Foundation and Doctors Community Medical Center (DCMC) Foundation. This position plays a key role in building a culture of philanthropy across Luminis Health through developing and implementing comprehensive annual fund strategies, including community employee and, grateful patient giving, through multi-channel donor communications designed to acquire, retain, and upgrade donors. Working collaboratively with philanthropy, marketing, clinical, and operational teams, the Annual Fund Officer will execute donor-centric fundraising campaigns that strengthen donor engagement, increase unrestricted and restricted annual giving, and build a sustainable pipeline for future major gifts. The Annual Fund Officer role helps support $1M+ in revenue through annual and special giving programs. Essential Job Duties Plan and execute comprehensive annual fund campaigns for both the AAMC Foundation and DCMC Foundation, including direct mail, email, digital, and integrated fundraising appeals. Manage the annual employee giving campaign, partnering with Human Resources, Marketing, and organizational leadership to maximize employee participation and philanthropic engagement. This system-wide effort will include a robust employee volunteer committee that engages at all levels of the organization to build energy and participation. Coordinate and support the Foundation's Grateful Patient Program by collaborating with IS, Privacy, and the Advancement Services team to identify, solicit, and steward grateful patients and families. Develop campaign calendars and project plans to ensure timely execution of annual giving initiatives. Create compelling fundraising content, appeal letters, stewardship messaging, and donor communications in partnership with the Luminis Health Marketing and Communications team. Monitor campaign performance and analyze key metrics, making recommendations to improve donor acquisition, retention, participation, and revenue. Manage donor segmentation and audience selection to ensure targeted, personalized fundraising communications. Work closely with Giving Team and Advancement Services to ensure a robust pipeline through clear protocols for major and planned gift prospect flow. Coordinate with the Advancement Services team to ensure accurate gift processing, donor coding, reporting, and campaign tracking. Collaborate with Major Gift Officers to identify annual donors with major gift potential and facilitate donor pipeline development. Assist with donor stewardship efforts that reinforce annual giving participation, including acknowledgement strategies, impact reporting, and donor recognition communications. Maintain knowledge of annual giving best practices, fundraising trends, and emerging technologies to continually enhance fundraising effectiveness. Support Foundation events and engagement opportunities that promote annual giving and donor participation as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Educational/Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. Minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible experience in annual giving, fundraising, direct marketing, donor engagement, nonprofit development, or related field. Experience planning and executing direct mail and multi-channel fundraising campaigns preferred. Experience managing employee giving campaigns and/or grateful patient fundraising programs preferred. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Demonstrated analytical skills with experience interpreting fundraising results and campaign performance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and donor databases such as Raiser's Edge NXT, Salesforce, or similar CRM systems. Ability to work independently while fostering collaborative relationships across departments. Passion for philanthropy and Luminis Health's mission to enhance the health of the communities it serves. Familiarity with Anne Arundel County, Prince George's County, Eastern Shore and surrounding communities is preferred.

Educational/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

Pay Range
$85,000$110,000 USD
